Planning a lead generation page

Much of real estate business marketing currently revolves around “leads”. But what exactly are real estate leads? Quite simply: real estate agents are looking for people who want to sell a property. They want to win these people as clients. A real estate business's marketing therefore aims to generate new sales listings. The initial contact is often called a lead.

A lead generated through your own marketing offers the opportunity to secure a property sale. Some real estate agents choose purchased leads, while others use a lead generator on their own website and focus their marketing on generating high-quality leads themselves.

Understand clients' needs and collect contacts.

The advantage over purchased leads is that new prospects get to know the real estate agent and their business during lead generation. This happens primarily through content marketing and the right marketing messages. Generating leads in-house to secure a listing to sell a property takes considerable effort, but delivers lasting returns.

Costs a lot – but works quickly.

Besides generating their own leads, local real estate agents can always buy contacts for potential sellers from major portals.

Here, however, the customer only gets to know the local real estate agent after the lead has been passed on. There has been no opportunity to build trust. This type of lead generation may also uncover an intention to sell. There is a chance of securing a exclusive listing.

The major advantage here is the factor of “time” – the customer's contact details are purchased rather than acquired through your own efforts.

How does sustainable lead generation work?

First, real estate agents must create suitable content that interests potential sellers and makes them curious to learn more. This content is then distributed through various marketing activities and social media. Ultimately, the aim is always to bring a customer to the company's website, where a lead generation tool is embedded. The more specific the content and the better the information matches a property owner's interests, the more likely it is to generate a qualified lead.
